I was banned by TOM CUTTS on The Magic Cafe for using the word "Frisco" one time too many in regards to a post made by StoneMagnus wanting to move to California from Germany.

Tom Cutts said that I was baiting him if I posted Frisco once more. Bill Cook aka "S2000" typed "Frisco" in a post about The San Diego Padres sweeping The San Francisco Giants.

Even though I never typed the word Frisco.
I believe Tom figured that Bill and I were in collusion and conspired to circumvent Tom's request that I not type Frisco his hometown. This behaviour is so childish and beyond words, so I am embarrassed to even mention the incident, but folks have inquired, so there you have it.

Tom Cutts banned me for 90 day because of it, but didn't mind posting on the thread once The Giants won The World Serious.

Tom Cutts is a spiteful hypocrite.
I only posted this because over a dozen folks asked me what happened there...

I could give a F*&# about posting on the net after the losses I have suffered over these last few years.

I humble myself before Our Creator and give thanks for each new day of love, light, and light!

I am thankful for JoeJoe not only for creating a site like this for us to remain honest and civil, but for truly allowing us to help other Mages.

With respect,
Dev/

Ambitious Card
Someone post this at "Step Right Up" at the magic cafe about

"Has anyone ever sold invisible decks with the following approach:

1) You tell the person that you have turned over one card in the deck
2) You tell the person that if the card they are thinking of is NOT the one that is turned over, then you will pay them $20
3) You also tell the person that if the card they are thinking of IS the card that is turned over, then they agree to purchase the deck (and secret) for $5

Would this not be an easy way to pitch and make sales? Are there any legal implications of such a contingent pricing approach? "

I told him what a total idiot he was for even thinking of such a childish thing and a 5 year old has more sense that he did.So I got banned for 90 days by Steve Brooks himself.Seems like I'm in good company and I'm proud to be a member...LOL

I guess some people don't honor American's rights as defined in the First Amendment. The Cafe can be somewhat pompous and cliquey. I think Steve is careful to make sure that advertisers aren't offended {for monetary reasons} and some moderators are on a power trip. I don't see anything wrong with the word 'Frisco' or criticizing a silly approach to pedaling the ID. I'd be glad to lose the bet. At $5 a pop that's a good deal unless they were 30 year old bridge size Fox Lakes.

lol

The 1st Amendment says "Congress shall make no law..." ... it does absolutely nothing to restrict Steve Brooks or any other person from establishing their own rules.

Meaning you have no right to force Steve Brooks (or anyone else) to hear your free speech.

As for the Cafe, I have no problems with how they choose to run their site ... but I don't like when I make a lengthy post and it disappears, so I stopped posting on the "not very magical" forum which seems to be where most of the nonsense happens.

I have no idea what happened to my acct at the caf but I was never able to get back on. I sent emails to their tech people and never got a response. That site has gone down hill and steve brooks and their staff should be ashamed of themselves.

Good magic to all,

Eric

WHAT? That jerk deleted a post of mine last month. It was a free down load of a full color magic poster book that sells for $35.00.
He said it violated a rule against linking to auction sites. The link was an MC ad that most people had overlooked Jezzz.
Good to hear from you Devious, you are missed.

Yeah, that kind of thing happens over there ... I may try to revamp this place this fall when my summer performing season is over. :)
