Nearly three weeks ago, my health took a turn for the worse and while I have white boards full of "things to do" I haven't been able to get a fraction of them done.

The good news is I am starting to recover and should be able to get some updates online in the near future. :)

For those that want to know what was wrong with me, we don't know other than something wrong with my digestive track. Tests found nothing wrong - no cancer, no obstructions, no ulcers, no twisted or kinked intestines, absolutely nothing physically wrong me.

The tests eliminated nearly every possibility ... except one. Gluten intolerance. So now I'm trying to come up with a gluten free diet and realizing that nearly everything I eat has wheat in it. This is going to be a major lifestyle change for me, and I don't deal with change well.

I've known for some time now that my health was deteriorating; I've been deliberately gaining weight in case I needed to survive a surgery. In a lot of respects, I'm glad it finally happened and much of the uncertainty has been removed.

So anyways ... just wanted to let everyone know what was up. I'm glad we have so many people joining up, this is going to be a really awesome resource for all of us. I'm determined to see this through!

First and foremost I am glad you r doing better. I have noticed the older we grow the more unlikely we go to the doctor, even when we know something is wrong. This is the fear of the unknown or what we are told. I feel as we r each other's brothers, at least in a magical way.

With much more magic to come

Lena doesn't take care of me - she is just a friend. My best friend to be exact; something of a sister to me.

For a while there I was thinking maybe I should get a girl to take care of me, but I fear that would seriously cramp my singles lifestyle.

My last girl let me see other girls, but I doubt a girl that cooks and cleans would allow that ... so I'm really hoping I get better here. :)

I thought that whatever problems you were having was coming from the cats. Glad your found out about all other things that were a lot more serious. Hope you find out what it is soon.

At the urgent care center, the theory was cats gave me an infection. The emergency room dismissed that theory as my condition was more serious than anything I would have acquired from a cat.

As of now, the gluten-free is working. Previously, I was popping as many as five "tums" a day. I haven't needed any since going gluten-free. Being as there is nothing "physically" wrong with me, it has to be my diet so basically I need to really buckle down and stat eating better.

And by the way ... it is awesome to have you here Renzi! For those that don't know, Renzi is one of the best magic demonstrators I've ever seen. Trained by the legendary Ron Conley, he brings a lot to the table. I consider him to be one of my most trusted advisors and have sought his advice on multiple occasions for many many years now. :)

Gluten seems to be a weird thing. I never heard of it until a couple years ago when my Brothers family went Gluten free for no apperant reason, but now I hear about it all the time. My sister in law does make some kick ass gluten free deserts for the holidays though.

Disappointed with the lack of programming I've gotten done over the summer, my daily grind schedule is taking a toll on me.

Had another bout of not being able to eat - ugh! Doctors have no idea what is wrong with me, but gave me some meds to relax my digestive system so I'm able to eat and work. Just gotta take it easy.

Was amused when he [doctor] tried to pull some cold reading on me ... tried to convince me it was all just in my head. Wondering how many of his patients fall for that crap. [rolling eyes]

Once, when I could not hold anything on my stomach, I found spicy BBQ would stay down??? Go Figure!

That is odd. I don't do peppers or hot sauce, so I'm not gonna be finding out if I can hod it down. :)

If the CT Scan is correct, then it has to be something I'm eating. Either gluten or caffeine. I'm pissed off the doctor wouldn't do a gluten test on me when I asked him to, claimed it wasn't "necessary".

Fricken Obamacare - they have to kill off 10% of the population the make the numbers work, and I'm in the 10% they need to die. Single white male ... if I was a kid or a mom they would have done every test they had. >: [

So I'm convinced the doctors are trying to kill me and everyone I know thinks I'm just nuts. [sigh]
