My new Congreve Cube, three one dollar bills folded together into the shape of a cube; not just any cube ... a magic box with it's own universe contained within:

This is the perfect size, shape, and weight for any levitation hookup that fits perfectly into a shirt pocket and is pure origami with no glue or tapes required.

It will be included on the Penny Reel DVD and I'm pretty sure it will be a big part of the promo videos. Very exciting work, I've spent years working on some of the material on this DVD and am confident I can have it shipped in time for Christmas.

The inspiration for this cube comes from the movie Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium, which I consider to be mandatory study material for anyone that wants to become a magician.

Is there any similarity between the folding of this cube and the "newly marketed" card cube? (I am not sure what it is called just saw a trailer for it recently) - you fold a card into a cube (and I think you can quickly fold it inside out.

If it is a similar fold it would open up a nice "double whammy" to the effect. Float the bill cube and have it somehow turn inside out at the end. Or incorporate the levitation with the card cube. Lots of possibilities

No relation. I imagine you could fold this out of cards, but it would be heavier and need a stronger thread like Vectra. I may experiment. :)

My cube is just three one dollar bills - floats with no glue, tapes, or magnets required. The thread is folded inside the cube and the Super Spinner is the anchor.

But I don't know how the newly marketed cube is folded, so I can't speculate if it would work or not.

Burning the 2nd draft of the Penny Reel DVD, totals about 1 and 1/2 hours. I think its awesome!

Hey JoeJoe,

With the Penny Reel about how much thread should I use to loop through the cube?

They say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas...that is unless you post it on YouTube!

It depends on the length of your arm - there should be just enough thread for it to reach the tips of your fingers to the Sharpie ... not much longer than that.

Best advice is to experiment.
